Paul Skarin, Jon Reed, Amy Holobowicz, Matt McNally

Jen Frederick gave an update on the beach staff.  Beach is fully staffed for the summer

Jen is manager
Kim is assistant manager
Zach is asst manager in charge of grounds

Beach has received a new freezer from the ice cream vendor.  Old one is waiting to be picked up by previous vendor.

Beach staff will organize more arts and crafts for kids and create a camp atmosphere this summer.

Jen reviewed the evaluation process of beach staff with the committee.

Saturday of Memorial day weekend Sonja from DES is coming to review signage with Scott and Jen.

Handicapp bathroom is to remain open extended hours .  Craig is researching a timed automatic lock For the door.

Paul gave an update on the beach permit.  He delivered it to department of safety last month and they are waiting on marine patrol to sign off.  Paul expects this is a priority.  Jen is planning on putting lines in on 5/26.  It is anticipated permitting will be granted in the next few weeks.

Paul reviewed the north fence line on the survey with committee.  Town owns land on other side of fence.

Investigation into vandalized trees is ongoing.  Scott and Craig have been working with Conservation Committee and police on this.  The vandalized trees cannot be removed until the investigation is complete.

Scott gave update on swale, designed to fill then drain into the stream.  There are better designs to consider for the future.   Scott has also received the information on permissible poison ivy treatments for Dewey beach.

Craig has met with Chief Ruggles regarding grill placement.  Committee discussed placement and will advise.
  1. Tiltion Park-  near porta potty
 2. George's mills - near point of beach by dock
 3. Dewey Beach -near dead trees, this will be reviewed.  Committee is in favor of grills on northern border

Rowing club will be using George's mills beach for access to their boats.

Skate park - Scott gave update on skate park.    Scott is reviewing plans from different manufacturers.  Scott's research has found the metal features to be quality and living up to their warranty.    Scott will review with Donna about finalizing a decision in the next week.

Pump track - Craig is going to work with Mark Usko about setting a date to work at the pump track.

Summer programs - thanks to John Gosselin's Community Construction class for Tracy receptacles, planters, and information boards.   Jon reed will provide Scott with a class list for proper thank yous

New programs include multi sports camp, paddle board yoga among others Scott will begin fund raising for fireworks soon

Theme for fourth of July parade is "summer Olympics".
      Amy will look into organizing a week long Olympics challenge

The basketball hoops at outdoor basketball court need to be replaced.  Scott will contact Lions club about replacing these.
